Newly framed images giclée printed on photo rag from a recent local family portrait session. The matt finish of Hahnemüle Photorag gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction. The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients. Images can be mounted and framed to your taste. These images show an off white mount and black matt frame.

Singularity

we once were?

so compact nobody
needed a bed, or food or money—

nobody hiding in the school bathroom

before this awful loneliness.

Nicolas Hamilton was told he would never walk due to his cerebral palsy and would spend his life reliant on a wheelchair. Not one to be told he cannot do things, with determination and gruelling training he not only walked unaided, but he started to realise his dream: to be a racing driver.

I heard his story last month at a London event and had the opportunity to photograph him - his ‘anything is possible’ attitude inspires anyone and everyone that hears it.

Fayann is one of the three female artists who call themselves October! Collective who are spearheading the launch of the first permanent art quarter in Venice launched during the biennale titled Giudecca Art District. Fayann has composed the soundtrack for the district’s flagship installation titled Body As Home that is a timely exploration of self-discovery, identity, migration and search for the meaning of home.

Fayann has composed the soundtrack for the district’s flagship installation titled Body As Home that is a timely exploration of self-discovery, identity, migration and search for the meaning of home. Body as Home was shot in four countries, and explores the concept of home in “regard of geographical location and how our identities are formed by our own understanding of home.”
